Getting Real

  

     Getting real and being authentic are two traits I admire in people. I admire when someone can be real and authentic with themselves, and with others as well. I love to hear their stories about how they overcame. I love to hear the stories of when they were down in the dumps. But let's face it, I am human, and like to talk about myself as well. I have never written a blog telling any aspect of my story, until now.

    I just want you to know that my name is James Gooch. I am real person. I have every day struggles today and will have them the rest of my life. I am not a saint and have made many mistakes along the way. I still make mistakes today and will continue to make them. I am light years away from the person I was before but still light years away from the person I want to become.  I have days when I am happy and ready to conquer the world. I have days when I don't feel like doing anything.

   I have a past that haunted me for years. I did not talk about it and was frankly ashamed of it. My past created many obstacles for me when I decided to turn my life around. I was not taken seriously (at first) and endured much ridicule from others.  I endured much pain within myself trying to avoid dealing with my past. Now I am at a place in my life where I own 2 businesses while continuing to pursue my love for telling stories and encouraging others. The points between where I started and now was an adventure to say the least.

    In my next few blogs I am going to share some early aspects of my life with you. I will share an experience I had that forced me to re-evaluate and build on some of the strengths I still use to this day. I hope to hear some great stories from you guys as well.
